Country Meadows

Ongoing Breaker Maintenance

AETA partnered with Country Meadows Retirement Communities to develop a 0.945 MW DC solar photovoltaic system in an unproductive and underutilized agricultural field adjacent to the retirement community. AETA's environmental and civil engineering scope of work included completing a wetland delineation, producing the civil engineering drawing set, and developing and submitting the site plan, stormwater management plan, building permit, and minor grading permit, which were all reviewed by the County. Additional coordination with the Catoctin & Frederick Soil Conservation District was required to get erosion and sediment control design approval. The site design was specifically tailored for the residents’ education and enjoyment, as well as benefits to local wildlife by including ecological design elements such as specialized wildlife and pollinator-friendly seed mixes and protection of existing wildlife travel corridors.
